Kristie McLean is an executive coach from Seattle with a passion for empowering others and a heart for change. She has traveled extensively on six continents, including a solo circumnavigation, and brings a global perspective and diversity of thought and action. Kristie has joined the Leamon Group team to deliver strategic thinking, coaching, and corporate training programs. She is skilled in implementing creative solutions, demonstrating compassionate leadership in new and changing environments, and combining disparate information, ideas, and styles into greater cohesion and focus.
Through her coaching, Kristie strives to align leaders with their organizations through common strategy, purpose, and values. She helps clients develop greater organizational agility, works to shift perceptions that may be hampering peak performance, and encourages decisions that promote healthy work/life balance and a sense of legacy. She believes strongly in partnering with whole, growing, and vibrant leaders.
Kristie's photography has been showcased at two global summits in Europe and Asia. Her 2005 solo exhibit "Women of the World" included images from India, Thailand, Laos, Kenya, and Brazil. Her portraits have sparked international interest in raising awareness of sustainable community development, peaceful tourism initiatives, and measures to alleviate poverty.
Kristie's work has appeared in various arenas and publications including KOMO news, The King County Journal, Chicken Soup for the Traveler's Soul, JustSayGo.com, Leader, Blue, The Bellingham Review, Jeopardy, and Pontoon Magazines as well as numerous websites. Her experiences in Afghanistan will appear in an upcoming book by Afghan writers and those supporting the causes of the Afghan people.
Kristie is a certified professional coach through the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and graduated cum laude from Western Washington University in English and psychology. She is a member of the International Coach Federation, a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and is actively involved with Women's Enterprises International, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through education, micro-credit loans, and water projects.
Kristie is passionate about expanding knowledge and connections beyond domestic boundaries to promote worldwide social responsibility. She is dedicated to serving, learning, and affecting change and strives for projects that are personally and globally significant.
